Videos as Learning Content - How to Get Started

with Lisa McCarty and Jeff Hanson of Autodesk, Inc.

Registration is now closed.

When providing learning support for complex software products, many times a text procedure with images just isn’t effective. Sometimes it is easiest to learn a task or procedure by having someone walk you through it.

At Autodesk, we develop brief, targeted video tutorials to supplement our online help content. We have developed a streamlined approach to designing, developing, and delivering these videos to provide the best learning experience we can in a 2-minute window.

How do you decide when a video would be helpful? How much information should be included? How do you ensure accuracy and relevancy as the software product continues to evolve? How do you accommodate localization?

Join Jeff Hanson and Lisa McCarty as they address these issues and share their process and best practices for creating video tutorials. Once you have a process and at least a short-term strategy, it’s easier to get started developing videos, and you may find that they are pretty fun to create.
