About the Presenters

Victor GerdesVictor Gerdes is a Vice President of product management for ThingWorx, a complete end-to-end technology platform designed specifically for the Internet of Things. Mr. Gerdes has held leadership positions at PTC in ThingWorx Studio for Augmented Reality (AR), IoT, UX Design, Architecture and R&D Labs, the Enterprise Deployment Center and Windchill PLM. Victor has worked in technology & manufacturing since 1986 and with PTC for over 20 years developing technology solutions that transform the way companies create, operate, and service products.





Paul DuartePaul Duarte is an Associate Sales Proposal Writer at PTC, and the President of STC New England. Paul uses his technical communication skills to write effective proposals to help PTC's sales representatives sell software and services to customers. Paul has been a technical communicator since 2015, serving as a technical writer and knowledge coordinator before coming to PTC. He also researched and taught technical communication as a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he earned his Master of Arts in Professional Writing.
